Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will hold its Annual Meeting on Monday May 9 at 7 p.m. at 145 W. Spring Street, Marquette.
The evening will include a brief business meeting, presentation of the Helen Longyear Paul and Peter White Awards as well as the Ameen, Honkala & Richards Young Historian Awards.
A short musical program by The Gold Mine Girls will follow. The Goldmine Girls are a fresh, young, local approach to both cover
and original folk, country, country/rock and blues. They bring surprising energy to their original arrangements with a creative mix
of guitars, mandolin and the mountain dulcimer.
The meeting is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.
