Marquette – The Marquette Lions Club will host a free program on adjusting to disabilities on Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
Inspirational speaker, author and musician Geri Taeckens will share how she came to accept her gradual blindness and go on to celebrate being different.
Refreshments will be served following the presentation and there will also be a silent auction.
The film “The Miracle Worker,” the story of Helen Keller, will be shown after the refreshments. For more information, call 226-4063.
