Marquette – A Once Upon a Time Puppet Show will present
“The Lady and the Sultan,” a special adaptation of the Arabian Nights tales in two performances on Saturday, April 16 at 1 and 2 p.m. in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center on the lower level of the Peter White Public Library.
Veteran performers of Vertigo Theatre Company bring their acting talents to the library puppet stage to present this new twist on a well loved fairy tale which appeals to all ages. The script was written by local actor/writer Dave Hansen for this performance.
Children attending the shows will have a chance to win a beautifully illustrated hardcover copy of “Random House Book of Fairy Tales” to read at home. Drawing participants must be present to win.
There is no admission charge thanks to sponsorship by Target and the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library.
