Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will host “Bloomers and Corsets: The History of Women’s Restrictive Fashion” on Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m. at 145 W. Spring Street, Marquette.
Eco-fashion designer Lanni Lantto will present on restrictive fashions throughout history, from steel case bustles and rib altering corsets to forbidden bloomers. Also featured will be a slide show and examples from the history center’s permanent collection.
