MARCH IS COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Vicki Rakowski, with the American Cancer Society, called in recently to discuss March being Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and the importance of early detection in surviving this form of cancer. She also outlined risk factors and other guidelines such as age and family history. She also talked about how important it is to talk to your doctor about this cancer and to get past any embarrassment there my be associated in your mind about it. She also mentioned about not fearing the testing and why it needs to be done.
