Marquette – The Cedar Tree Institute will offer an introductory workshop on the practice of Tai Chi Chuan on Saturday, March 12 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Grace United Methodist Church, 927 W. Fair Avenue, Marquette.
No prior experience is necessary. Guest presenter Rick Pietila will teach a silk reeling sequence. Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise developed by monks it the eighth century. It improves circulation, balance and flexibility, and also lowers blood pressure.
