Marquette – National award-winning storyteller Linda Gorham will be the special guest at Peter White Public Library on Saturday, March 12 as she leads a storytelling workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. and performs at 7 p.m. Both events will take place in the Community Room.
Ages 11 through adult will learn how to reinvent stories to excite and inspire audiences at the Creating and Twisting Modern Fairy Tales workshop. Gorham will look at popular fairy tales and explore a process for bringing old tales up to the new millennium.
Gorham is a contributor to “Telling Stories to Children,” published by the National Storytelling Network and Quality Angles, a book that explores excellence in the workplace. Her CD, “Common Sense and Uncommon Fun,” has won national awards including the prestigious Parents’ Choice. Gorham’s newest CD release is titled “I Am Somebody,” and is geared for adult listeners.
