Negaunee – The Annual Special Olympics Polar Plunge will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at Teal Lake in Negaunee.
Mark Evans and Walt Lindala of Sunny 101.9 WKQS will be taking the plunge as “Skipper and Gilligan” in an effort to raise money for the Special Olympics programming. Many other brave local people will plunge as well.
Donations can be made at Great Lakes Radio in the Superior Lanes building in Marquette Township or online at www.firstgiving.com/polarplunge/Event/negauneepolarplunge-2011.
