Marquette – The award-winning film “Being Caribou” will be shown on Wednesday, October 28 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette. The film is part of the Global Issues Film Series. In a quest to understand one of North America's last great mammal migrations, a husband-and-wife team joined the Porcupine Caribou Herd on its epic journey. For five months they traveled on foot with the 120,000-member herd, from wintering to calving grounds in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
