Ishpeming – Robert Mahin, geologist for the Back Forty Project in Stephenson, will give a PowerPoint presentation on the project at the Ishpeming Rock and Mineral Club meeting on Sunday, February 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cliff Shaft Mine Museum, 501 W. Euclid Street, Ishpeming.
Mahin’s project will provide the history of the project to the present day and what the future may bring. Mahin will review the mineralogy of the area and those within the mine.
A silent auction of mineral specimens and a business meeting will follow the program. Club members will be displaying staurolite samples from their collections. For more information, call 228-9422.
