David Gill, a local musher and musician stopped in to discuss his new CD “Moonlight On The Snow”. The CD features original music written and performed by Gill that was inspired by his experiences as a musher in a series of sled dog evens around the country. The music has a very organic and acoustic feel and is a perfect representation of the aura of mushing across the quiet wooded plains of Upper Michigan. David tells us that the CD was created after he had a great response when her performed the title track last year at the UP 200 and Midnight Run bib draw and banquet. The positive feedback inspired the writing of the rest of the songs.
The CD is available in several shops around the area and would be a perfect item to pick up prior to the UP200 and Midnight Run Sled Dog Races that are coming up here in Marquette and Alger Counties during the weekend of February 18th through the 20th.
