A CONVERSATION WITH MICHIGAN DEMOCRATIC PARTY CHAIR MARK BREWER

Michigan Democratic Party Chair Mark Brewer is currently on a tour of Upper Michigan, meeting with Democrats and discussing the outcomes of the last election and strategizing for the 2012 elections. He stopped by the Great Lakes Radio Studios on his way through the Marquette area and sat down with News Director Walt Lindala to talk about those issues and a lot more.

Included in the chat were Brewer’s thoughts on why Democrats lost so soundly in the last election and what that means for the 109-th District House seat currently held by Democrat Steve Lindberg. The 109-th, which represents Marquette, Alger, Schoolcraft and Luce Counties was the only House seat in the U.P. to stay Democrat. This at a time when Republicans control the State Legislature, the Governorship and the State Supreme Court.
