Gwinn – An open house for the electrical line technician program,offered jointly by the Midwest Skills Development Center and Northern Michigan University, will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the MSDC, 411 Avenue A in Gwinn.
Tour the facility, talk with current and past students, meet instructors and industry partners, watch pole climbing demonstrations and receive enrollment information.
The electrical line technician program trains students to install, maintain and operate electrical systems to supply electric energy to residential, commercial and industrial partners, as well as joint gas and electric underground generation facilities. Graduates receive a diploma from NMU.
