Marquette – Save the Wild U.P. will present the compelling documentary “Mining Madness, Water Wars: The Great Lakes in the Balance” on Thursday, January 22 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
A social gathering with refreshments will begin at 6 p.m., with a brief update on the sulfide mining issue at 6:30 p.m.
Produced by the National Wildlife Federation, this 33-minute production discusses the controversial proposal to blast a mine beneath a blue ribbon trout stream in the Upper Peninsula. A question and answer session will follow.
