Marquette – Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church will be holding a Fair Trade Market, Saturday, November 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, November 7 from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 305 W. Magnetic Street in Marquette.
The market will include holiday decorations, handcrafted jewelry, purses, scarves, bags, wood products, and general gift ideas. All items are handmade by disadvantaged artisans in developing regions around the world.
Fair Trade soup mixes, coffee, tea and a variety of chocolate items will also be available. Each purchase helps the artisans and growers maintain steady work and earn a sustainable income so they can provide for their families and support educational and social services in their community.
The market is open to the public and handicapped accessible. For more information, log on to www.MarquetteLutherans.org or call 225-1119.
