Marquette – Eating Smart from the Start, a professional training for child care providers, will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 9 p.m. November 2 through 23 in the community room of The Preserve at Orianna Ridge in Marquette.
Participants will learn how to serve tasty, nourishing meals to the children they care for, receive kitchen tips from a chef and learn ways to save money on a food budget.
Participants also will prepare and eat a meal and take home a bag of groceries at each class. Attendees will also receive a reusable grocery bag, a cutting board and a workbook full of recipes, children’s activities and tips on buying healthy, low-cost foods for children.
