Marquette – The local chapter of the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will sponsor a Lemon Run 2-mile run/walk fundraiser Sunday, October 24 at the Superior Dome.
There is a registration fee of $10 for students, $15 for adults. Those who register by Oct. 14 are guaranteed to receive a free T-shirt; those registering after that date will receive shirts based on availability.
Registration forms are available online at nmualsf.webs.com/lemonrunregistration.htm and in Room 1206 of the University Center at NMU. Completed forms may be dropped off at Room 1206 or may be mailed to Lemon Run, c/o 2445 Werner Street, Apt. 11, Marquette, MI 49855.
The Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation raises money for pediatric cancer research. It currently funds 100 research projects and assists families whose children are fighting cancer with financial assistance for transportation to treatment facilities.
