Marquette – The Northern Michigan University music department will present a violin concert on Sunday, September 12 at 3 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall.
The concert will begin with three traditional violin pieces, played by Barbara Rhyneer and accompanied by Nancy Redfern on piano. These pieces will include “Sonata No. 3” by Handel, “Concerto in G, K. 216” by Mozart and “Csardas” by Vittorio Monti. The last piece, a jazz number titled “Blue Monk” by Thelonious Monk, will feature violin, trumpet, drum and bass.
