Marquette – The Marquette Choral Society will begin rehearsals for its Christmas concert on Monday, September 13 at 7 p.m. in Choral Room 250 of the Thomas Fine Arts building on the campus of Northern Michigan University.
Performances are scheduled for Saturday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 5 at 3 p.m. at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette. The repertoire includes “Midnight Mass for Christmas” by Charpentier and several new carols by John Rutter.
The choral society is under the direction of Floyd Slotterback. All who enjoy singing are welcome. No audition is necessary. There is a nominal fee for music and membership.
