Marquette – Worship at Presque Isle, an ecumenical worship service and picnic, will be held on Wednesday, August 11 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Presque Isle Park in Marquette.
A fellowship picnic will begin at 5:30 p.m. Families must provide their own meal. Beverages will be provided. At 7 p.m., a service will take place, including Holy Communion and a joint choir featuring participants from eight churches. Music will be provided by “Hearts on Fire,” the worship band of First United Methodist Church.
Other congregations participating include: Messiah, St. Mark’s and Prince of Peace Lutheran, First Presbyterian, First, Grace, and Skandia United Methodist and St. Paul’s Episcopal churches.
Reverend Steve McCoy, from the First United Methodist Church, will deliver a message, entitled, “There”s Nothing to Be Afraid Of.” For more information, call First United Methodist at 225-1344.
