Big Bay – Local songwriter and troubadour Michael Waite will perform a concert on Friday, July 23 at 7 p.m. in the Powell Township School gym in Big Bay.
With a musical style described as free folk with influences from rock, country, jazz and calypso, Waite sings his original compositions, accompanying himself on the guitar and banjo. He will be joined on stage by professional percussionist John Churchville. The duo will present an eclectic evening of everything from cowboy music to Irish ballads to soul to jazz and bluegrass.
