Negaunee – The Negaunee City Band will offer a free concert on Wednesday, August 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Outdoor Performing Arts Center at the east end of Iron Street.
Trumpet soloist T. J. Anderson will play “A Trumpeter’s Lullaby.” Marches will include “Americans We,” “Florentiner,” Sousa’s “Hands Across the Sea” and “Galop” by Shostakovich. Theater will represented with selections from “West Side Story,” with opera featured in “Carmen Suite.” Other numbers will include “American River Songs” and “In Praise of Freedom,” “The Penny-Whistle Song” focusing on the flute section, and “Just a Closer Walk with Thee.”
