Sands – The fifth annual Great Lakes Rodeo will be held Friday, June 18 through Sunday, June 20 at the Marquette County Fairgrounds in Sands Township.
The rodeo will kick off Friday with the queen and court competition at 5 p.m. Saturday activities include 11 a.m. team penning; 6 p.m. rodeo performance; and 9 p.m. barn dance featuring live music by Bordertown. Sunday features a 2 p.m. rodeo performance, with crowning of the rodeo queen during intermission.
Advance tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for children, and are available in Marquette at the Lake Superior Partnership and Jon’s Auto through June 16. Tickets at the gate will cost $12 and $6, respectively.
