Marquette – The high school-age members of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marquette are participating in a Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser through June 13.
For a requested $20 donation, a flock of 20 to 30 plastic lawn flamingos will be set up in the yard of a neighbor, friend or family member. The flock stays at each location for 24 hours and is moved at dusk.
The fundraiser will provide almost $7,000 in financial aid for eight high school students and two chaperones to attend the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod’s 2010 National Youth Gathering July 15 through 22 in New Orleans.
