Munising – The 13th Annual Ken “Otis” Pond Memorial Co-ed Slowpitch Softball Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 at Brown's Addition Field in Munising.
This is a twelve team double elimination, $150 entry fee with a deadline of Tuesday, September 1.
There will be a 3-game guarantee. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and Sportsmanship. First place will also receive the 'Otis Cup' traveling trophy donated by Hannahville Indian School where Ken was principal at the time of his death in 1996.
In the three game guarantee, the losers will battle for the traveling “Plunger” donated by AuTrain Grocery and Party Store.
Proceeds support a scholarship for a Munising High School graduate who has a least a “C” average who is also entering a 2 or 4 year college program and who has not received any other scholarships. The eligible student is drawn at random.
