Calendar – Benefits/Fundraisers – Empty Bowls Project – April 28

Marquette – An Empty Bowls event will be held on Wednesday, April 28 at North Star Public School Academy, 3030 Wright Street in Marquette.

Lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m., and dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10. There will be door prizes and a silent auction.
Proceeds will be donated to local and international charities that battle hunger and poverty.

Guests may take home a handmade bowl as a reminder of the empty bowls around the world, along with educational placemats which include information on various regions, statistics, photos and designs.

Guests also may donate books or money to Books for Africa.
