Marquette – The annual Blues for Life Cancer Benefit will be held on Saturday, May 8, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Lagniappe Cajun Creole Eatery in downtown Marquette.
Activities will include live blues music by the Flat Broke Blues Band and Fast Eddie’s Blues Band, food provided by the Lagniappe, a cash bar, a silent auction and door prizes.
Tickets are $25 and are available at the Screened Image and The
Lagniappe. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. For more information about the event, call 226-6112.
Also that day, the motorcycle Ride for a Cure will culminate at the Jackson Cut Alley around 5:00 pm. The ride-in will begin earlier in the day with a Blessing of the Bikes at Bald Eagle Harley-Davidson in Marquette.
Riders of all motorcycles can participate in the ride-in and all events at the Lagniappe later that evening. They will also receive a T-Shirt and Bandana to commemorate the ride. Contact Bald Eagle Harley-Davidson at 228-5330 for more information.
