Marquett – Humanitarian and Buddhist monk Gayuna Cealo will give a presentation on Thursday, April 29 at 7 p.m. at the Federation of Women’s Clubs clubhouse in Marquette.
A suggested $15 admission donation will benefit orphans and impoverished villages in Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Cambodia.
A Buddhist monk of the Myanmar (Burma) Theravaden tradition, Cealo campaigns for world peace, advocates for underprivileged women and children and provides basic necessities for people living in non-industrialized countries. Crafts and fabrics from villages in Southeast Asia will be for sale after the talk.
