Marquette – A program titled “Michigan Important Bird Areas” will be presented on Wednesday, April 14 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.
Caleb Putnam of the Michigan Audubon Society will provide an update on Michigan’s current network of nearly 100 Important Bird Areas, how the program works and where the program is headed. The IBA is part of a global effort to identify and conserve areas that are vital to birds and other biodiversity.
