Marquette – In recognition of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, April 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Ontario Room in the University Center at Northern Michigan University.
Members of NMU’s Lambda Chi Fraternity have accepted pledges to walk a mile in women’s high heeled shoes in support of sexual assault awareness and prevention. The public is welcome attend and participate in the walk, with or without high heels. All proceeds will benefit the Women’s Center.
