Marquette – An anniversary celebration for Bishop James H. Garland will be held on Sunday, August 16 beginning with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 4 p.m. at St. Peter Cathedral.
A public reception and dinner will be held following the Mass in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center at NMU. Reservations are required for the dinner. Call St. Peter's at 226-6548.
Bishop Garland will celebrate two milestones; the 50th anniversary of his ordination as a priest, and the 25th anniversary of his ordination as a bishop.
