Marquette – The Negaunee Fire Department will host its annual golf tournament on Saturday, August 8 at 2 p.m. rain or shine, at Gentz's Homestead Golf Course in Chocolay Township.
The event will be a four-person scramble. The cost of $120 per team includes nine holes of golf, a cart, food and beverages at the course, and a party after the tournament at Rookie's in Negaunee, featuring prizes, food and beverages. Proceeds will be used to provide smoke detectors to area families.
A $60 deposit is due by July 31 to reserve a tee time. Make checks payable to the Negaunee Fire Fighters Association. To schedule a tee time, call the Negaunee Fire Department at 475-9811 or Cubby Nelson at 475-5340.
