Marquette – The Peter White Public Library Readers Theater will read “Lysistrata” on Tuesday, January 5 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the library in Marquette.
“Lysistrata,” originally performed in ancient Athens in 411 B.C., is a comic account of one woman’s mission to end the 20-year war between the rival Greek city states of Athens and Sparta.
Peter White Public Library Readers Theater is a group of adults who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet the first Tuesday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New members are welcome. For information, call 226-4318.
