Marquette -Santa and his elves will arrive by fire truck on Friday, December 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the Marquette Commons in downtown Marquette.
The Marquette Senior High School Chorale will perform holiday music, and Santa and Mayor John Kivela will preside over the official lighting of the city holiday tree. Santa will lead the countdown, and with a sprinkle of “magic dust” the tree will come alive with bright lights.
Santa will then welcome children in the Commons building, where they will receive a free photo with Santa in front of the fireplace. Pony rides will also be available from 5 to 7 p.m. for a nominal fee. For more information call 228-9475.
