Marquette – The Northern Michigan University Orchestra, under the direction of Barbara Rhyneer, will perform a free concert on Wednesday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall.
The concert will feature a variety of music, including a few Christmas tunes such as “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.” Other songs include “Mars: Bringer of War” from Gustav Holst’s orchestral suite “The Planets” and two Robert Smith pieces based on Dante’s “Divine Comedy.”
Student violinist Matt Mitchell’s arrangement of the theme from the video game “Shadow of Colossus” will also be performed.
