Marquette – The Marquette Choral Society, under the direction of Floyd Slotterback, will present “Carols in the Cathedral” on Saturday, December 5 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 6 at 3 p.m. at St Peter Cathedral in Marquette.
Headlining the concert will be Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria.” A small orchestra will provide accompaniment. Danielle Teter and Abbey Kwiatkowski will sing a duet, and Sara Parks, Suzanne Harding and Tara Pokela will perform solos.
Also featured will be a selection of new carols by contemporary British composer John Rutter, with accompaniment by pianist Sandra Balmer, as well as Christmas carol sing-alongs throughout the program. For more information, call the NMU Music Department at 227-2563.
