Alger County – The gardens of six Alger County residents will be featured in the sixth annual TLC benefit garden tour on Saturday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine.
Featured gardens are in Chatham, Trenary, Forest Lake, and AuTrain Township. Exact locations are mapped on the ticket.
Tour participants will see numerous plant species, ranging from finely-tended vegetables and herbs to hybrid and native perennials and shrubs.
A light lunch, treats and edible flowers will be offered at the Rock River Township Park at the intersection of M-94 and M-67.
Tickets cost $5 and are available at the Chatham Credit Union, Trenary Credit Union, Forsberg Flowers in Marquette, Pedal Pushers Flowers in Munising, Delta County MSU Extension office in Escanaba, or from gardeners on the tour.
All proceeds will go to local beautification projects undertaken by nonprofit groups.
