The Marquette Rangers and new head coach Kenny Miller had their hands full when the organization held its first tryout of the year on May 16th, 17th and 18th. Several local hockey stars tried out for a chance to become a Marquette Ranger. John Aho (MSHS Redmen), Brad Chapman (Electrician), Wolff Belanger (Electrician) and Brandon Smaby (MSHS Redmen) all tried to earn an invitation to the final camp which will be held July 18-20, 2008 at the Berry Events Center. Unfortunately John Aho suffered a knee injury during the first day of tryouts when he collided with another player. John will still be eligible to tryout during one of the two upcoming camps in Detroit or Wisconsin before the final camp in July. Brad Chapman, Wolff Belanger and Brandon Smaby all earned a spot in the camps final All-Star game held on Sunday, May 18 at the Berry Events Center in Marquette, Michigan. No further information is available at this time if any of them were invited to the final camp. More – External Link
