North State BMX held a single point race on Friday, May 23, 2008 at the River Park Sports Complex in Marquette, Michigan in the first of three races held this weekend culminating with the State Qualifier on Sunday. Riders from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio were expected to compete for points with Michigan riders competing for a chance to race in the Michigan State Championship Finals in August.
