The Marquette Little League junior tournament team played a double header against the Soo Black Socks on Fathers Day, June 15, 2008. Marquette won the first game and lost the second. The All-Stars headed to Canada to play in the Soo tournament on June 20-22. Marquette went 3-2 on the weekend losing in the semi-finals to the eventual tournament winner, the Soo Black Socks.
