North State BMX is set to host the American Bicycle Association Michigan State Championship on Sunday, August 24, 2008. There will be a single point race on Friday, a double point Michigan State Championship Finals prerace on Saturday and the triple point finals on Sunday. The organizers of this weekends racers couldn't have asked for better weather as the temperatures should be in the 70's and fairly sunny all weekend.
Several riders from around the Midwest are expected to attend. A team of riders from Rhinelander, Wisconsin are expected to attend as well.
North State BMX is expected to have approximately 30 riders competing for the title of Michigan State Champion on Sunday, August 24, 2008. The riders range in age from 5 years old to 35 years old, are male and female and may race in dual classes. The classes consist of bikes with either 20″ wheels or 24″ wheels.
