The Marquette Area Blues Society held their 5th Annual Marquette Area Blues Festival at Elwood Mattson Lower Harbor Park in downtown Marquette, Michigan on Labor Day weekend. Headlining Saturdays event was Tab Benoit, a Grammy nominated blues artist.
One of the DJ's for Great Lakes Radio accidentally introduced Tab Benoit as Ben Taboit and Tab joked about it for most of the evening. He really has a gift for living and reacting in the moment. A very easy going personality that connects easily with his audience.
Several other concerts are planned for Sunday. Headlining Sundays event is Watermelon Slim and the Workers. The show is scheduled to begin at 8:00pm.
Thank you Great Lakes Radio for co-sponsoring the event.
