The Negaunee Miners celebrated their homecoming with a huge win over the Gwinn Modeltowners on Friday, September 26, 2008 in Negaunee, Michigan.
Gwinn put up a good battle in the first quarter. They scored first and kept Negaunee at bay as the Miners turned the ball over once before getting it back and scoring a touchdown to tie the game.
Once Negaunee's offense got going, it was almost impossible to stop. Marana scored on an option run up the middle, Dillon Menard had a touchdown on a nice special teams punt return, Tyler Nault had a touchdown and the Negaunee defense kept Gwinn guessing on what to do next as nothing was working.
Tyler Desjardins had a rough night as he dropped a few nice passes but made up for it with great composure on offense and defense by maintaining his blocks when he had to.
