The Northern Michigan University Wildcats were defeated by the University of Michigan Wolverines on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Berry Events Center in Marquette, Michigan.
The Wildcats never gave the Wolverines much to work with as they basically matched them in intensity and desire on every level. Unfortunately, skill and talent were something the Wolverines had just a little more of. The top line of the Wolverines scored four of the five goals in this very close game.
The Cats came back late in the third period to within a goal when the Wolverines scored on an empty netter.
The Cats should be very stoked about their split this weekend as they beat the 2nd ranked team in the nation on Friday night by a score 2-0.
