The Marquette Senior High School Redette varsity basketball team defeated the Westwood Patriots by a score of 56-32 on Thursday, December 11, 2008 in Marquette, Michigan.
Early in the game, the Redettes scored early and often, rarely missing a bucket while the Patriots had several shots go halfway in and then bounce out.
The game remained close though with the first quarter ending with the game tied at 11.
In the second quarter, the Redettes size and depth started to show as they dominated on the boards. They collected several rebounds offensively and defensively.
After half-time, the Redettes started a full court press that really proved to be troublesome for the Patriots. At one time in the third quarter, the Patriots came within 7 points, but the depth and size of the Redettes wore down their defense and helped secure this win.
