Munising – Munising 4th of July Celebration will kick off with a Fun Run at Bayshore Park in Munising.
Registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration fee is $7.
The 4th of July Parade begins at noon.
A watermelon eating contest begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by free ice cream at 2:30 p.m. in Bayshore Park
The Munising Moose Lodge will offer the game “Take It or Leave It” at 2 p.m.
The Pet Parade begins at 3:30 p.m. with contestants meeting 1/2 hour prior, at the Post Office.
Waterfighting by the Munising Volunteer Fire Department will be at 4:30 p.m. on Elm Avenue near Superior Street.
A Grease Pole competition will be at 5:30 p.m. at the City Pier.
Free Quarters for kids will be held at 6 p.m., followed by an Egg Toss Contest at Bayshore Park.
Fireworks will conclude the festivities at 10:30 p.m. at Bayshore Park.
