Discussion about this initiative that has been happening at three area schools in Marquette County, Birchview Elementary in Ishpeming, Lakeview Elementary in Negaunee, and Gilbert Elementary in Gwinn. The goal of Safe Routes to School is to remove the barriers that prevent school children from walking or biking to school by creating safe, walk-able routes to school.
