In February, Governor Granholm appointed a 19 member task force to analyze transportation issues in Michigan. On Monday, the Highway, Road, and Bridge subcommittee released a report titled “Michigan's Roads in Crisis.” The report identifies the need for almost double our current road budget. The state is also in jeopardy of losing $750 Million in federal money if it isn't able to match the amount for our current road budget. Bob Struck, Marquette County commissioner and chairman of the Highway, Road, and Bridge subcommittee, speaks on the issue.
