Help clean the beaches of Marquette. Danielle Miller, U.P Conservation Coordinator, invites everyone to join The Nature Conservancy and the Moosewood Nature Center on Saturday, September 15 from 9 a.m. to noon as they clean up trash on the beach. Volunteers in 37 states and 55 countries will come together to remove trash at the same time around the world. Participants should meet at the Nature Center on Presque Isle Park at 9 a.m. for instructions and materials distribution. Sites include Picnic Rocks to McCarty's Cove, Lakeshore Drive, South Beach and Founders Landing. Stay for a picnic afterwards. Contact Danielle at upmichigan@tnc.org or 225-0399 to register.
