Writers on Writing:  Matthew Gavin Frank 

Monday, September 15, 2025.  6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Peter White Public Library Shiras Room.  Adults, Seniors, Teens.  In this new programming series, award-winning lyric essayist and poet Matthew Gavin Frank—author of Flight of the Diamond Smugglers, Preparing the Ghost, and Submersed—will guide participants through the art of writing with curiosity and boldness.  . Space is limited to 15 participants, so register early.  No admission charge.  For more information, contact Marty at 226-4322, machatz@pwpl.info, or visit pwpl.info.

The Knockabouts in Concert

¡Hola Español! – Spanish Club  

Thursday, September 18, 2025. 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Peter White Public Library Great Room. Join us for a fun and interactive introduction into the Spanish language and the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries! Kids will learn basic Spanish vocabulary through games, stories, and hands-on activities. Open to kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  No admission charge. Halloween Costume Swap 

Saturday, September 20th. 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. PWPL will be accepting gently used & clean Halloween costumes and dress-up apparel starting August 4 for this swap. Families can attend the costume swap on Saturday Sept. 20 and look for a new-to-you costume! No admission charge, costumes are all free. Drop off gently used and clean costumes to the Teen Zone or Youth Services from August 4-September 19

Art with Ella 

Saturday, September 20th. 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library. Join NMU Art Education major Ella and create a tissue paper collage! Kids of all ages are welcome – the techniques used will be adaptable for kids of all ages and abilities. All supplies provided, drop-in program.
